Automotive R&D mechanical and technical teams rarely struggle because of capability, they struggle because the day lacks structure across the core operational pillars: Communication, Planning and Improvement.
I work inside Automotive R&D and Test environments to build predictable daily structure, stronger team capability, and smoother, more controlled operations. My approach is embedded, hands-on and practical, working directly with mechanical and technical teams to create routines that remain embedded.
I help teams establish:
Daily team meetings with clear priorities, accountability and alignment.
Accurate labour planning with transparent task allocation and timeframes.
5S discipline and organised, consistent work areas.
Root cause and continuous improvement routines that solve issues and identify improvements effectively.

With over 15 years in automotive engineering and technical operations, including 10 years at HORIBA MIRA, I specialise in supporting prototype, development, validation and test support environments where structure, utilisation and predictability directly impact delivery.

About me:
I’m Daniel or known as just Dan, I’m interested in anything if it involves mechanical parts and technology, especially associated with vehicles. Based in Leicestershire, I’m a down to earth and grounded person with a background in motorsport, engineering and mechanics both operationally and hands on. I have a passion for everything automotive and tech and when I’m not spending time with my amazing 9-year-old son Harry and my partner Samantha on walks or on a mountain bike trail, my hobbies involve mainly cars & restomod motorcycles. My mission is to share my best skills with others around me, and together, accomplish great things with pride and passion within our field of work while inspiring the next generation to do the same.
